After completing course work, Leah was licensed in 2020 by the State of Indiana as a Licensed Appraiser Trainee. She began agricultural real estate appraising in 2021 as a Licensed Appraiser Trainee under Al Pfister, who holds an Indiana Certified General Appraiser License and has been in the appraisal profession since 1991. The types of properties she has appraised are Agricultural (row crop land), Rural Homesteads, and Vacant Land. Her geographical area includes Northeast Indiana.

1997 – 1998: Technical Services and Circulation Clerk at the Wells County Public Library

1998 – 2002: Worked Technical Services, Reference Department, and Young Adult Services as a Clerk I at the Wells County Public Library

2002 – 2011: Worked as a Reference Department, Technical Services, and Young Adult Services Clerk II at the Wells County Public Library

2012: Worked as the Assistant to the Head of Young Adult Services at the Wells County Public Library

2012 – 2021: Worked as the Head of Teen Services at the Wells County Public Library

2021 – Present: Licensed Appraiser Trainee working for Complete Appraisal Services
